Mawuli Adjabeng
Communications Specialist
Mawuli Adjabeng is a Communications Specialist at Cewefia. He has a background / first degree in Industrial Arts (Textile Design) from KNUST (Kumasi) and holds a Master’s degree in Development Communication from GIMPA (Accra). Mawuli focuses on the use of visual media as a tool in behaviour change communication (BCC) in development and health.
Before Cewefia, projects he had worked on included the likes of UNCDF, ECOM Trading, Plan International, Rwanda Annual Genocide Remembrance Day (Ghana), Autism Awareness Conference, Star Oil Ghana, Pasico Ghana and Ghana Health Service. Mawuli’s work is a testament to his belief in the power of visual communication and strategies to capture and remind humanity of its essence. He has exhibited works at notable events such as Experience Ghana’s “Back Home to Ghana” in Toronto (2017), the Fujifilm South Africa feature, USAID/University Research CO LLC/Systems for Health Photo Exhibition (2019), IMANI Jump Project Exhibition (2020), and the Norman Rea Gallery’s “Black Lives Matter” Exhibition by York University (2020/21) - United Kingdom, Asafo flags Popup Exhibition (2023).
At Cewefia, Mawuli combines creative storytelling with strategic communication to amplify Cewefia’s impact on communities in the areas of ocean health, governance and democracy, environmental conservation, health, financial empowerment and business skills development, amongst others. He has been instrumental in communications during the implementation of the USAID Performance Accountability Activity.
